Attorney Giacomo Tolomeo is a native of North Haven, where he currently practices. The son of Italian immigrants, Giacomo is a first-generation Italian American born in Connecticut. At a young age, he learned the importance of hard work through observing the dedication, commitment and sacrifices both his parents have made to provide a better life for their children. Witnessing his parents’ challenges and struggles was the reason why Giacomo became a lawyer. He is passionate in assisting and providing legal guidance to other families who are navigating through their life’s transactions so that their path to a better life is much easier.
Giacomo attended the University of Connecticut (UCONN) Storrs campus and graduated in 1995, earning his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Accounting. He then went on to receive his Juris Doctorate from Quinnipiac University School of Law in 1999. After Graduation, Giacomo began his career with KPMG and went on to hold positions of increasing responsibility with other prestigious firms such as Arthur Anderson, Cummings & Lockwood, and Weinstein and Anastasio. During this period, he developed a wide range of legal and tax competencies, working directly with some of the area's most respected partners, managers, and specialists.
On January 1, 2007, Giacomo established a boutique law firm where he was the Managing Partner. He successfully grew the practice into a reputable and respected law firm and gained valuable transactional law experience in the areas of real estate, contracts, bankruptcy, estate planning/probate, and tax matters. On November 1, 2024, Giacomo merged his practice, The Pellegrino Law Firm, allowing him the opportunity to grow his practice areas and further strengthen his commitment to providing the most innovative and trusted legal advice for his clients.

Meet the Attorney
“I approach each client with an empathetic ear to fully understand their concerns & goals. My job is to advise and advocate for my clients and ensure their objectives are met. I believe that establishing trust from the outset ensures my clients’ comfort. As their trusted advisor, I shield my clients from the chaos they may be facing by offering a voice of reason in times of confusion and uncertainty. I slow down the process so they are in the best position to understand the leverage they possess and execute their options with confidence and effectiveness. My goal is to bring them a sense of peace and calmness when they feel things may not be going their way and attempt to control their matters through intelligent and strategic advice and execution. My clients are able to sleep better at night knowing that they can place their concerns in my hands and that I always proceed with their best interest at heart.”
